About

It's weird writing about yourself. As an independent, I have to wear many hats and one of them is bio writer. So I'm going to take the easy way out and simply list some of the things, both professionally and personally, that I think will help you to get to know me better. If you'd like to read a more "official" bio, just click here.

What I Do

Like most musicians today, I'm heavily hyphenated. I'm a guitarist-composer-producer-programmer. And not necessarily in that order.

Style

This is one of the toughest things for me to describe. But if I have to label my music, I'd call it contemporary instrumental. Maybe not the most common or widely used title for a genre, but I think it fits my music best. I draw on new age, jazz, world, pop, classical and just about anything and everything else in my playing and writing.

My World, spent two months (September and October 2004) at #1 on the NAR Top 100 Radio Chart.

A Perfect Tomorrow, debuted at #1 on the New Age Voice's (NAV) Airwaves Top 100 and remained in the top 20 for six consecutive months. If you're looking for NAV, unfortunately they closed their doors a couple years ago. The radio charts for contemporary instrumental genres are now handled by New Age Reporter.

Jamie Bonk

- NAV's Airwaves Top 100 longest charting CD
  (18 consecutive months)
- The longest charting CD in the top ten (8 months) and the longest
charting CD in the top twenty (14 months)
- Reached the #1 position on the NAV charts

Apple Seminars

My ongoing series of seminars for Apple focus on the tools and techniques used in today's recording environment and specifically look at how I've used these applications to record my own music. For seminar dates and locations, please take a look at my live page.

Music Providers

Here are some of the music providers that have programmed my music: Sirius Satellite Radio, XM Radio, AEI Music, DMX USA, DMX Canada, Music Choice, Music Choice Europe, DX Radio Network, Galaxie/ExpressVu and Echo Star.

In-Flight Audio

Live

At this point, I've played probably thousands of gigs -- concerts, clubs, in-stores, private events and yes, even weddings.
