music, Canada's Jamie Bonk is finally back with a new album,
his third. My World
solidifies and reinforces Bonk's considerable talents as both
a composer and a
performer. His smooth fluid leads and dexterous fingering (on

uptempo title track) are matched by his keen ear for layering
his accompanists in
amongst his acoustic guitar melodies. Keyboards, in particular,
are a highpoint,
whether the chugging organ of "My World," the slinky
Fender Rhodes on the sly and
mysterious "This Is It," or the occasional smooth-as-silk
synth string textures on
other selections. From the midtempo sway of "'73" to the peppy light jazz of
"Looking In" to the darker moodiness of "What

Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, and Peter White. As he has done
