Jamie Bonk - cybercity Magazine Review

"As the saying goes, "if you want something done right, do it yourself." And so he has -
all music is composed, produced, engineered and performed by Jamie Bonk.
Contemporary instrumental guitarist/composer Jamie Bonk is like a breath of fresh
air. From the very first song you become acutely aware that this gentleman is very
talented. Although his musical interests are varied - from British punk and ska bands
such as The Clash and The English Beat, to jazz to rock n' roll - he has chosen to
focus his attention on producing romantic, polished instrumental pieces on the classical
guitar.

Smooth as glass and just as reflective, "Tiger Dance" demonstrates his ability to create
music that is based deep within his soul. The song has a touch of new age, but is mostly
a nice, soft classical piece.

"Spiral Path" is indeed a twisting, curling musical journey through the provocative mind
of Bonk. This jazzy song is a bit different than the previous ones; there is a rich world
beat blended in there too.

Very new age, yet much warmer in tone, "Indigo Muse" is full of feeling. It is a sensuous
melody bound up in superb guitar work. "The Street Below" is also a great tune. It is one
of those songs that makes you want to dance in the moonlight, or run barefoot along a
beach - it just makes you feel alive and thankful for it.

Jamie's guitar dominates each piece although it allows for great percussion and drums.
The relationship is one of partnering and each has an equally important role. Although
low-key, his music does not lack energy. It is playful and peaceful, sophisticated and
simple. Every track is strong and worthy of being a hit. So breathe deep and enjoy the
relaxed feeling Jamie Bonk can give you.
