A Perfect Tomorrow - Serge Kozlovsky Review

"This music catches you from the first phrases of "Tofino", dips you into a whirlpool of
light guitar melodies and doesn't let you go until the last seconds of the concluding
composition "Within". Jamie Bonk's music is perfect for listening, and the lightness of
the compositions is a creation of a classy guitarist. The musician's playing is faultless;
Jamie Bonk, it seems, without any effort at all expresses all the nuances of his emotions
through his guitar. The dynamic "Pretty Girl" is followed by the romantically relaxed
"These Hands". Relaxation is characteristic of Jamie Bonk's music. There's no hysteria
or tension, no theatrical dramatizations. The musician doesn't need to figure out anything;
he is natural and expresses his feelings absolutely freely. Listening to his music you
can understand that there is no cause to be sad, that life is beautiful, and that no one
can enter your innermost shrine uninvited.

A Perfect Tomorrow is the second solo album of Jamie Bonk. Just after its release it
was top of the radio charts. It followed a very successful debut project, which was named
simply Jamie Bonk and was awarded New Age Voice (NAV) Magazine's Radio Album of
the Year for 1999. Furthermore, Jamie Bonk broke a number of NAV's Airwaves Top 100
records that previously belonged to Loreena McKennitt's Book of Secrets, by staying 8
months in the top 10, 14 months in the top 20 and 18 (!) months in the top 100.

The success of Jamie Bonk's music is not accidental. There are vivid rhythms in his
melodies; there is a lot of activity, a lot of action, which is pleasant. It is easier to breathe
and more comfortable to live with such music. Listening to A Perfect Tomorrow, you
suddenly feel as on a early summer morning: you open your window, and the streams of
fresh air fondle your face." - Serge Kozlovsky - October 2001.
