Necessity

I’m extremely happy to announce the release of my seventh album Necessity! It’s been awhile since I’ve put out an all instrumental guitar-based record and I changed it up a bit on this album by playing electric guitar on all the tunes.

Huge thanks to Dave Patel (drums), Henrik Bridger (bass) and, of course, Sonya Mitlewski (keyboards and wife!) for all of their great playing!! I hope everyone enjoys listening to music as much as I did making it!

Interesting Day

So that was an interesting day!  Woke up this morning and got an e-mail from Henry’sasking me to do few tunes before Ed Robertson’s keynote photography presentation at this year’s Exposure.  So I grabbed my guitar, pedalboard and tracks and a few hours later I’m getting to play in front of 600 + people.  Huge fun!  Ed’s presentation was fantastic and the songs he played were just great.  Thanks to Henry’s for including me in the event!

Henry’s School of Imaging — Ed Robertson Hosted Series

Henry’s School of Imaging has been gracious enough to use my music for their new Ed Robertson (Barenaked Ladies) hosted series. Each episode in the series shows Ed learning (with one heck of a sense of humour!) how to take deeper control of his camera. Henry’s chose to use “Boundless” (featuring the one and only Jeff Oster) from my album 5 for the first episode of the series. Thanks Henry’s!

HNR

Thanks to South Korean radio station HNR for playing my tune “Tanzen”! Last month the station became an official Apple radio provider (you can check it out under the ambient category on iTunes radio), so congrats to the whole team at HNR!

Metalworks

Metalworks is having me back for the fall semester.  I’m teaching two classes each of MIDI & Synthesis and Desktop Music Production.  Since my gig with Apple ended a while ago, I’ve been searching for something just like this.  Truly looking forward to the classes!

Henrik Bridger

There really is nothing like a great player.  My friend bassist Henrik Bridger just started sending me his parts for my new record and man do they ever smoke!  He’s truly lifting the music up.  I can’t wait to hear the rest of his parts!!
